I love both my bikes but have been spending more time on my Honda. I just can't say enough about it. For a quick ride to the store I use my KLR mostly. Bless you all. OooOOoooh. A '74 just like mine. Although these bikes were far from the best 175cc "Enduro" bikes back then (maybe even the worst!), my original F7, purchased new, was the one bike that defined my beginnings as a dual sport fan. Ride it to where you wanted to go off road, then go off road! I have owned at least 4 of them. I remember them most by their colors: my first was a blue one, the 2nd was red, the 3rd was silver, and the one I have now is orange. Like KLRs, the red one was the fastest. ;-) Out of all my 1970s Kawasakis, I don't miss the 175s much, but wish I still had my triples and one of the 350 Bighorns that I also owned back then.

The state of Californication doesn't like me (but doesn't know it) because my green KLR is PA plated and therefore exempt from both states' inspection / emissions requirements. Did I mention that green KLRs are the fastest ones? ;-) x 2

re-toy! Pissers!!!! Are we both married to the same lovely woman? ;-) x 3

new mexico tech day???

Post by Hedrek » Wed Jun 25, 2008 3:59 pm

I may have a doohickey to do, didn't get inside to look around last weekend, but it's time to do it anyway. I guess I'll order parts and be ready if something gets set up. If not, anyone near Albuquerque have the doohickey tools to loan? Robert Hedrick Albuquerque, NM

I'd be interested in any tech day within a day's ride of Albuquerque. I know how to check valves. I need to do my doohickey. I need to ride.
