duro tires?
Its about tire time on my 2005. I can't complain-I've just about reached 10,000 on the originals. I like the OEM tires fine for street riding. But I'm also a little low on $$ right now, so am thinking of getting a set of the Duro tires. I can get two tires for like $79.95 including tax (I work at a motorcycle dealership).I'd like tires that are safe on the streets and okay offroad (they don't have to be great at offroad).It would be nice if they would last similiar to the OEM tires (most riders are getting less miles than I did on the OEMs). So anyone tried these Duro tires?

Hiya Jon. That's the best mileage I've heard of from a OEM Dunlop, Mine went
4,600 and was paper thin at that .
I've have run three Duro median rear tires but trashed the first two (not
the tires fault). The third one looks like it will make 5,000 for me.
(compared to 4,000 and $80 for the Dunlops)
One problem, every tire developed cracks between the center lugs. These are
bias ply tires so I decided to keep my eye on the cracks try to wear them
out.
These cracks had nothing to do with the two failures.
I ride 90% highway (at 70-75 MPH) and the rest on mostly dry gravel roads
and they work well for that.
Duros are basically worthless for mud and I'll make a huge assumption that
they are not good in deep sand either but I don't know.
I'm not sure which brand I'll use but I think there's a change coming. Any
suggestions?
