There is understandably a bit of confusion regarding the model designations.
"Despite its designation, which usually refers to the engine size, the F 650 GS
has the same 800cc twin-cylinder engine as the F 800 GS."

Yep, the first comments were sleved cylinders, now just lower H.P. I
wonder how BMW can get away with this. You could tell your insurance agent
I have a 650. Maybe I can get Suzuki to call my Hayabusa a 700 (G).

Well, I suppose the article could be in error, too.

The 800 GS wasn't at the Ft. Worth Cycle World show on
Saturday ...... or I missed it. They had the all street version. Go
figure. They has an interesting Aprilla 550 V twin dual sport and the
new 250 WR based Yamaha dual sports and also the Kawasaki dual sport
250. People were all over the new KLR exhibit ........... but Zach
from Oregon if you are out there anywhere, I didn't see anybody
looking at the Suzuki DR 650's. That one is due for a revamp also but
I would hope more dirt oriented. It was in black though and that
looks good (clean), the DRZ 400 was also in black.

"CLEAN" "BLACK" AND "DIRT ORIENTED" Don't go together!
Black is Pretty in the showroom. But-- only clean after it has been washed
and polished.
Sorry I live in the country, drive off road a lot for my job and ride dirt,
dual sport and street. As a result I just don't understand 'black" on anything
designed to get dirty. Light colors show the dirt much less. I'd rather
spend time riding than washing and polishing! I won't buy anything black unless
I've built in $$ for a paint job or new plastic.

Is an aftermarket EK, or other brand chain, of the same type or design as the factory EK chain just a better chain (quality & performance) because it doesn't have to meet K's price point for a "factory" chain?
