another bad dealer experience (long)
Keep in mind the Internet is a great levelor of dealer
 arrogance.  Once you get that screwed over feeling and
 do a little research you soon find that your
 dependence on a dealer can be minimal.  Unscrupulous
 dealers eventually perish from their greed especially
 in an economic down cycle.  The good ones survive. 
 Witness Fred at Arrowhead, who has no brick an mortar
 presence yet provides parts nationwide that are known
 to work along with intangible knowledge.  People are
 willing to pay for that.  I often try to shortcut and
 support the local Kaw guy and end up paying as much or
 more and often it ends up being the wrong stuff.  My
 last connection to my dealer is for changing tires on
 tubeless rims.  They seem to have mastered that and I
 haven't - yet.
