For offroading anyplace really rough, you'll want that extra
inch.

My A7 came into my possession over the winter with the forks protruding 1" to 1-1/2", and I corrected it when changing the fork boots. After riding it both ways, I prefer the way it handles on the street with the front end lowered.

Dealer screwups If you buy the bike new, the dealers often leave the forks in the shipping position, with the fork tubes extending about 3" beyond the top of the triple clamp. Hello,
Larry Rossler progressive springs. I just happen to have a set that
has about 700 miles on them for a KLR. They definately help with the
front end performance of the KLR. It includes the spacers. 65$ to your
door, or anybody else's for that matter. Run about 80$ plus shipping
new. My ebay name is "terryth" to check my feedback for selling stuff.
Paypal accepted. Two days ago I brought home a new Suzuki DRZ400S with
0.1 miles on it. Needless to say the wife wasn't terribly happy and
something had to give, in this case, its the KLR, so it is going byby.
It is all ready sold for exactly what I paid for it. The guys not
interested in the upgrade stuff so I returned it to stock. I have some
other lightly used KLR upgrade parts that I;ll post more info about
later, Moose skid plate, IMS SS pegs, 14/47 sprockets and o-ring
chain, flat Corbin seat. If anybody is interested in anything, email
me. Thanks
Terry

My first Tech days was great. But I still need help on my forks. 87'
49K bike with 10" springs in the forks. Seems to have tapered plugs
under the springs. Anyone know what gives.

I am trying to get my forks apart. I have everything apart except the
bottom allen headed bolt. I know there is a special tool but there
must be a way around that. Any help would be appreciated.
