klr camping, packing and luggage

Post by bpwilldo » Tue Sep 23, 2003 8:34 pm

We have the JCW removable trunk. Once off, a camp grill from Walmart, which has been slightly modified, is set on the mount fitting into/onto the trunk mount protusions. This provides a wide platform and, naturally, comes in handy for cooking. The rest of the stuff, 9x9 tent, queen size sleeping bag, queen size air mattress, soft/foldable cooler, rope and tarps are rolled and pack in eaches. That whole business weighs around 23 pounds dry. Last strapped on is a small tarp in case it rains. Everything else we need is in a tank bag and soft side luggage. BP --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, Russell Niesz wrote:

Same way I go about it. Feels like taking a high hurdle from a standing start. Pat G;ville, Nv [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
