I agree. Being one who left the fold from it's earliest days, and then returning after a time, I can say that without this list I would be behind on my modifications. This is a great community, with a few bad apples. (They don't seem to last long, though do they?) "Let the games begin...." My vote is to open the doors... MNRon

It does seem un-fair, that potential new members of this group are being penalized for the actions of others. On the other side of the coin, I do understand and appreciate the fact that the list moderator is only trying to make this group a spam free one, which can only help the flow of information between us. If anyone is taking notes on this subject, I would vote for having the "Welcome Mat" placed out side the door once again Dave Salem OR KLR650 SpitFire DR350 Skippy

Just think.. In 50 or 60 years our grand kids can sue corporations for restitution/retribution for our enslavement even if we are already dead and those companies are non-existent. :)

Well, now, I think there is something else going on with the list closure. Something dysfunctional, juvenile, and pathetic. I don't want to know what it is, just get rid of it. I don't believe for a moment that spam is the issue. My momma din't raise no foos! (well, 'cept maybe my little sister!)

Hoorayyyyy!!! Welcome!! Now pay the initiation fee! ;-) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ THIS LIST IS YOUR LIST with apologies to by Woody Guthrie Chorus: This list is your list, this list is my list From the Brooklyn Bum to Mister_T From Jim Sherlock, to the Professor This list was made for you and me As I was riding a ribbon of highway I saw above me an endless skyway I saw below me a golden valley This list was made for you and me Chorus I've rode and rambled and I've followed my headlight To the sparkling sands of diamond deserts And underneath me, my KLR was thumping This list was made for you and me Chorus The sun comes shining as I was riding The wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rising The fog was lifting a voice come chanting This list was made for you and me Chorus As I was postin' - I saw a sign there And that sign said - no new members But on the old list .... it didn't say nothin! Now that list was made for you and me! Chorus In the squares of the city - In the shadow of the steeple Near the DSN office - I see my people And some are grumblin' and some are wonderin' If this list's still made for you and me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If I have to throw myself on the hand grenade of list closure to save the quality of the great-world-famous-best-of-all-time-KLR list, so be it!!
