"quiet core" on big gun

Anybody out there converted the Big Gun race core to the Quiet core??? does it still sound and perform great???i love the sound now, but i'm about to go on a 6000+ mile trip and i'm not sure the love will survive the trip...any input would be appreciated...thanks, ROD
