Another thing that doesn't help them is that they don't/didn't have the equipment to handle what grain they had, properly. We need more weapons, not grain bins or driers. Which is more fun to play with, guns or food? 9 out of 10 five year old boys would choose the guns, most five year old girls want to play with dolls and think playing with food is "icky". Why would they do that do you suppose? Perhaps to help US business become/remain established in those countries? What the hell, it's just our tax money anyway. Corporate welfare is rampant and comes in many guises. I've long believed the reason we continued the war in Viet Nam instead of winning it was to aid the arms manufacturers. Can anyone think of another reason that makes sense? We could have won that damn war in six months if we had chosen to. Ed Windsor

I define winning a war as forcing the surrender of the opposition. I am anti war and have been since I was quite young, a long long time ago. Before Viet Nam in fact. My point is we allowed thousands of kids on both sides to be slaughtered so that General Motors etc. could continue to show a profit. Pretty sick eh? Ed
