nklr: 79 pretty cool customs

Post by Jud » Wed Dec 05, 2012 1:41 pm

To my mind, some of the coolest custom bikes on the road today are Yamaha 650s: choppers, bobbers, street trackers, you name it. Most Harley customs today are monuments to bad taste, but nobody ever turns an XS into a Gerbil bike. We have a local event called The Bearded Lady Motorcycle Freakshow. XS bobbers far outnumber the Harley customs there, and they are all better. http://www.beardedladymotorcycleshow.com/

A friend has a Yamaha 650 twin in a basket that the body is already painted the Kenny Roberts yellow with black checkered paint. I tell him if he would put it together I would buy it. I have seen quite a few of those at Bikeweek. In a way my Versys is kind of a modern street tracker. > > Criswell > > Sent from my iPad > > On Dec 5, 2012, at 12:03 AM, "jwflower53" wrote: > > > Passed this store in Venice Calif called Deus ex Machina. Thought it was a clothing store and it is, but it's also Aussie-built custom bikes, some pretty neat: > > http://au.deuscustoms.com/motorcycles/ > > > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] >
