Well folks,
So I followed up on Fred and Walt's suggestions to check the VIN.
It didn't occur to me that it contained coded information.
The Kawasaki website has a VIN decoder - I used that and checked the 10th digit.
Both indicate Kawasaki sold my KLR as a 2007 model.
Thanks guys for your help.

It's got 30k miles on the clock and runs flawlessly. Any suggestions?

Buy some more bikes. Once you get 4 or 5, something will always be
broken on one of them. Especially if you bring them home in pieces to
begin with.

I would strongly suggest that you keep doing the same things you are doing. I have 23K on my 07 and it runs flawlessly. rw TotalHealth Islam is as dangerous in a man as rabies in a dog.
