batterys?? (jeff s.)

Post by mark ward » Thu Aug 23, 2012 8:45 am

The main thing is I have 5 Deep cell batteries, (camper, boat, etc.) Extras from a purchase and sale. and interstate deep cell's are pricey, but I like having a back-up also, for when power goes out but not long enough to De-storage the generator, and when I go to a steam engine show ect., and do RUSTIC (in a field) camping I like extras. So I didn't know if there was a way to prep one for LOOOOOONG term storage. (2-3yrs)

Buy a dry one and keep it on the shelf as a spare. This advice is coming from a tightwad-extraordinaire. Is there a way to prolong shelf life after, WE get them and they have been used?? Drain power & then Drain water?
