The answer is yes, and yes.
IIRC, progressive made a specific Tengai-length fork spring. However,
you can just cut down your spacers, or enjoy the added preload. I
gotta check, I might actually have a set in a spare Tengai I'm
currently parting out.
I rebuilt a Tengai shock, Easy job.
