I m going to make this too. As my wife is fond of noting, I missed my 23rd anniversary in order to go down to pick my KLR in California, so maybe I ll partially atone by making the KLR s 25? I ll be leaving the Seattle area about 10am on Thursday (have to attend one meeting Thursday morning) and so will have to slab the 500 miles to Boise to get there by Thursday night. I ll be staying at the official hotel, the Country Inn and Suites. I ll be riding my all-black classic KLR with a WA state ham radio call sign plate and I ll be wearing hi-vis gear. I should not be hard to find! KLR685 #1 s odometer should roll over 70K miles on this trip, that is about 35K on the 685 and 30K on the oversize valves. It s still not burning any oil but lately I get a puff past the valves guides when I start the bike.
