fork tools?

Post by John Biccum » Wed Apr 25, 2012 3:21 pm

David's method works perfectly. I have a Motion Pro shock filling tool that is nothing more than a glorified version of the squirt bottle he described. I would add that you certainly DO want to remove the forks rather than rebuilding them on bike. You should invert forks overnight in a garbage can or similar to get the old, grungy oil out. Then rinse with ATF once or twice before dumping the ATF and installing new fork oil. Some advocate a mild solvent such as rubbing alcohol for the first rinse. Removal of forks is not tough, just jack bike high enough to drop forks out bottom after wheel is removed. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
