I'm with you on this. Between the KLR and the Bandit, I averaged about 17,000 miles last year. I do have and ear bud set up for my MP3 player which I use once in awhile when running really slow ( under 50 mph ) about the country side and not much traffic. When I'm on the go traveling, foam ear plugs always. One amazing thing I found out years back when taking the KLR to a car wash before we had the helmet law in Louisiana was that it was so much more noiser at even 35 mph with no helmet on, I ever held my ears back for streamlining and it didn't make a difference none. After many different types and even having a set poured to fit my ear, I settled on Howard Leight Max Lites with cord. I've been on the road for as much as a month at a time with them in my ears up to 12 hours a day / every day with no bother. Andy in Jennings, La.
