I recently did an oil/oil filter change on my KLR.I used Castrol Actevo X-tra 4T part synthetic.I change the oil every 3000. Later that same day I ended up taking a 50 mile ride.Round trip 100 miles. It was hiway miles where I normally cruise at 70 mph or so.RPM's probably never went over 5000 at any point of the ride. The next day I looked in the sight window to confirm the oil level. The oil appears to be black. After 100 miles?I have over 45,000 miles (completely stock motor) on the bike & for the most part I have used this oil exclusively.Any one else ever see this?

nklr -- killer deal on 'gear-wrenches'
Same here, got both SAE and Metric, keep them on a loops of 12ga wire in my tool bag.
Use them all the time, did notice the chrome is chipping off however, not a big deal until your say.. in a engine adjusting something and a flake chips off and fall down into your valve train....

recent oil change results
Did you warm the engine up thoroughly before draining the old oil? That would stir things up inside and leave the engine cleaner.
