Hey if you hav worn progressive glass's (not Progressive insurance. lol) speak up. I just got home with a pair, I understand, that there will be head tilting up and down to get the proper vision at dirferance distances. BUTis it only for the 1/2inch center of the glass? I have good vision (tilting up down) but ONLY in about the center 1/2 inch., Just to read an Email (9inchs across?+-) I have to follow the line left to right. (etc.) like only the center 1/3rd works. I have the same situation, Mark. I suspect it's worse with "lightweight lenses". Have them check to be sure that the center point of the lenses matches up with your pupil, if they are off it will exacerbate the tunnel vision effect.

This is why I returned my progressive lenses and have traditional trifocals. I gave myself plenty of time to adapt and just couldn't do it. At least with trifocals the area to the left and right of the center lenses is your prescription for distance where with the progressives that area isn't much of anything. At the time I tried progressives I was operating a bucket truck and relied on my peripheral vision to keep me oriented. I couldn't do that with the progressives. I talked to the people providing the glasses and they confirmed that the lower side areas really wasn't any prescription saying that to do that there would be noticeable lines in the lenses.
