WHY does 'everyone' keep thinking/insisting on the 'stalks' for the Rear ?? I got my 2003 vintage machine and the rear signals are 'smallish', rectangular {1x2in} units attached {vertically}to the bottom {outer corners}of the rear rack. Work just fine, and have passed annual State inspections. I had to replace one . . . the lamp holder had rusted out . . . and the only problem was there were SO MANY to choose from !! About $12 for a 'set' {of approximately the same size} -could have gone larger & Round- but preferred this 'neat, OEM look'. Geez Ron, we're just trying to help. I thought that we were talking about the OEM units or the look-alike less expensive aftermarket replacements you see on eBay. All have the OEM style stalks/stems/branches/trunks/roots (Sorry, I'm a biologist that worked in a boat yard for 365 days - I counted). I'm sure LED trailer lights would pass state vehicle inspection and be more visible than the OEM incandescent lamps. It's all about what "floats your boat" and is still legal. Don R100, A6F
