nklr - this sucks
I have been wanting a 2011 CBR250R since they were announced last October.
I put a deposit down a month ago and then got a delivery date of April 25.
That's pretty late for a new model.
Heck, I could've gotten a 2012 Yamaha Super Tenere' and have it next month,
if I had the money to preorder one!
I have now gotten word that the Honda eta is May 10.
Keep in mind this bike is made in Thailand, not Japan (Just like the KLR).
So, the earthquake disaster shouldn't come into play.
I looked around online and saw where some guys in India had heard the demand has
far, far exceeded the predictions and the Thai factory can't keep up.
It's not like the dealership ordered 10 of them. They ordered one: Mine.
Heck, their sales rep. had hinted that Honda was going to require dealerships order a CB1000 just to get the CBR250R.
Like the little bike was going to be that hard to sell.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Eddie,
Sorry to hear about the delay. Perhaps some of the components are sourced from
Japan.
I'm sure it'll be worth the wait!

Great! Now I want one. Although I'm a big guy, I have always loved smaller
bikes. I miss my old Honda 400 Hawk and its predecessor my 1968 360.
That said , my wife would kill me.

My wife's gonna kill me too, but there's an FZ1 in my near future. I want a streetbike to compliment the KLR.
It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. However, she may make me get rid of the '79 CB.
I think two is her limit.

Park them at an offset. Three will look like two. It will take months before
she notices number 3.

That's a sweet looking little bike, by the way. I just went and looked it up. It looks like the new VFR's little brother.
