2008 my alternative wheels choice ?

I have a 2008 KLR for which I'm looking for an addition set of wheels for street application. This would allow my original wheels to be set up with a good set of off road tires. I know I can purchase original wheels which is a relatively expensive option compared with some used cast wheels available but the question is what fits there. What about the current Ninja 250 wheels or other wheel combinations ?
