I must say that the slow van was not helping things. But a gestimation I can see the van is going around 15-25mph and that would annoy anyone out for a nice ride. The biker looks like he got that target fixation thing that most off road riders get. Look there is a tree.....fsk I am going to hit it...ouch. If he had released the brakes and just turned in he would of been ok. Jack

This problem was rider, not bike.  Bad decision making coupled with poor riding skills and fear ended him up in the ditch.  He locked up the rear, I believe, besides not even trying to make the curve. Wow. Dress up like a gay pirate and ride a piece of crap around the suburbs; not my idea of a good time. The other one of the Harleys riding into the ditch has been around for a long time. But this version looks like some kind of an ad to put down the van's occupants. I don't see that the van did anything wrong, and certainly broke no laws. Just another case of typically incompetent Harley riders spoiling the day for themselves.

#ygrps-yiv-1795792350 p {margin:0;}OK. So was I the only one that cringed through the whole song at the no-safety-gear, no-helmet-wearin' gay-pirate look? I consider this a video of "what not to do". -Jeff Khoury

Jeff Listen to the song - We all ride different bikes for different reasons - it's all about the freedom. Don't judge or preach, just ride and enjoy. #ygrps-yiv-1162752713 p {margin:0;}OK then, subtract the gay-pirate snark. That still leaves setting an example of riding around with no gear or helmets and making it look uber-cool. Yes, I know. There was at least one helmet, but the no-helmet bias was pretty obvious. As someone who has ridden extensively without a helmet (thirty five years ago) I can truly say that I am more comfortable in my helmet today than I was without it then. I especially like being able to turn my head without having to put my fingers on my glasses. I also appreciate not getting stung in the face by bees. And the dirt-face was dramatic after a long ride. Anyway, if somebody wants to ride without a helmet, and the law allows, then fine for them. The MOST stupid thing I see here in California is "theatrical" helmets. These are just cheap plastic, without any protection whatsoever, that some wear "in protest". In my view, that's like carrying a dull knife. If you are going to wear a helmet, wear a HELMET. You have the inconvenience and the "limited vision" (total B.S.) so why wear something that doesn't even accomplish the most basic purpose that it purports to accomplish? Lunacy. Robert P.
