Fred neglected to mention that at several times during the whole frantic weekend he took time out to help me assess the available alternatives when my shock finally blew out (original shock, original spring) at 79,000 miles on a backroad in Suriname.  I managed a bodge involving an incorrectly-sized shock from an old Honda, but will continue to buy from Fred in the future whenever possible. Mark (now somewhere in Colombia, headed for Cartagena and, eventually, home)
