Re: [DSN_KLR650] Re: HORNS, was: Stebel/KLR650/ balancing tires I constructed a simple balancing stand out of PVC pipe. The only other material is two rails of metal stock that the axle, with wheel on it, rests on. I got the idea from an article in MCN a while back. I’m not racing at 150mph so I don’t bother to balance tires perfectly. Just a little more than good enough.
I knew a K bike guy during my Beemer days. He would mount tires throw them on the bike and see if they negatively affected the handling. He would slowly increase speed to well over !00mph. If the bike was anything short of rock stable, he would take the wheels off and balance them. He rarely had to do that as mostly they were balanced “ good enough “ without weights.
Bogdan, who might balance a shot with a beer tonight.
