So far I went thru 4 helmets, working on my 5th one ( Airoh ) . They ALL have the same problem ...NOISY... Granted, I did not fork out the big bucks yet ,I understand that no matter what brand, there will be a minimum wind noise (??) That what I'm looking for "minimum" ,no I'd rather not use ear plugs .. Any suggestions ? Luc.. Not buying any Q-Tips any longer, ears are air blasted clean ....

Re: [DSN_KLR650] klr650 " Noisy Helmets...." As I hate face shields ( An old man is allowed his eccentricities ) all my helmets have been noisy. I prefer dual sport helmets. Have you tried getting used to those cheap foam ear plugs you can buy by the box ? For me they work great. Bogdan

I tryed ear plugs and didn't like them, a couple years later I was at Grainger, and seen some samples the looked different so i tried them, not as bad as i looked in there catalog I found there are over 100 differnt styles, shape, SIZE, firmness, strings, no strings, (red & yellow) FLAMES, etc. It took a few tries to find what i could wear all day long with comfort. the barrel ones most sell for $1.00 -$2.00, cost about .5 cents, when they buy a BOX of 250. Ya.eh... Got a pair of 737's ( wish they were the 714's ) but the 737's are much better than OEM's. Used safetey wire on the left grip and hairspray for both sides, worse part was removing all the glue the factory used (A15 last year from Japan) Just happen to get the 737's on a eBay deal with another item and installed them without regret few years back. Think of helmets like brakes, do you want the cheapest or the ones that stop the bike. In the case of helmets, it keeps you alive if someone else, or you, do something stupid. So take time to find the helmet that fits and provides you with the best noise protection. Keep the rubber side down. albatross who just by the fact that he is alive proves that good helmets save lives (& hope to prove one day that the life was worth saving)

Snell Rated? Snell had to Revise there standards, when a study showed  the Stiffer helmets  were KILLING People, and more Neck damage.
