75 miles from home, sitting at idle and Jackass(06 650) quit like turned the switch off. All the safety switch(es) have been disabled. Cycled the switches, opened the fuel cap, pulled the fuel line from the petcock and cranked over, have fuel flow, drained the carb bowl several times, beat on the carb bowl, installed different coil, plug and plug wire, checked all the fuses and connections, all while sitting on the side of the road...called friend to come pick me up. Got it started twice after sitting a while...it ran for about 20 secs and died and wouldn't start again for another hour or so. Before I spend time trouble shooting this thing further, what does this sound like to you experts? Oh yeh the reserve quit feeding a few weeks ago...a clue? the petcock maybe? It's never been into...
thx a bunch

Possible "grunge" in your tank blocking fuel access to the petcock. The grunge could be water, or something else?
My .02$
Good luck.

If the "grunge " is water, a shot of gas line anti-freeze should cure
it. That would not hurt anything anyway.
We use a lot of that stuff in Canada, because just up and down from 32F
, there is a lot of condensate created, I'm sure that your Northern
states guys use even more.

In general, I think critical evaluation of the government is A Good Thing (TM).
However, there is a difference between critical thought and fanatics screaming in ALL CAPS all over the the blogo-twitter-Web-2.0-sphere.
The polarization of America is almost complete. TV media (big networks, CNN, etc.) are helping that right along.
Fox news gave great coverage to the DC Tea Party rally under the guise that the "People Are Making Themselves Heard."
Not too long ago there was another huge rally in DC which did not receive much coverage from Fox News. It may have been because it was a gay rights rally.
Fox News isn't alone in this. CNN now has iReporters and is using twitter relate to it's audience. Nothing is inherently wrong with using the Internet in your news sources. However, when CNN solicits internet responses on say, healthcare, they often pick and choose the most polarizing and least informative drivel rather than any intelligent discourse. I think someone else covered what constitutes "drivel" in another thread on this list.
Anyways, that's my rant on media. This is the Internet after all.
On a constructive note, what do some of you folks consider a good, no BS news source? Heavier on the facts and less on what you want to hear.
NPR (commie propaganda arguments notwithstanding)? BBC? The AP Wire? Motorcycle Consumer News? The Daily Show?
Just curious as what alternative are out there and you're experiences.
Apologies in advance for causing more folks to unsubscribe to this list.

Yep,
it'll be a long winter esp with no job.
stimulus packages were a great idea ,I reckon. NOT.
Just puzzled by the differing standards applied to my last two presidents. Can a honest person deny that ?? Sure there were some nuts ranting. Any different than some of the legit folks. You know two illegal wars and all that stuff they spout.
I do think maybe
some in the media are saying "ooops".
I got fired for standing up against white racists. Even got a little flack for mentioning that if a certain n-word is off limits(as it should be) then my black co-workers should not be using it. yep I had the balls to mention that to my fellow co-workers who were black and used the word. How do you think that whent over ? Sorta like Jessie Jackson's remarks about Obama ? . Now what if say (insert name) said it?
When I mentioned the white supremecist. .. I was standing up for the pres office. I really dislike racists.
I meet them all the time in N. Fla. all colors.
I generally tell them I'm a believer in Jesus Christ and I'm sure he wasn't white like me.
gotta go, my show, FlashFoward is on.
