My "old" do came out at just over 600 miles from new. It resides in a
baggie on the shelf in my kitchen with other "it must not need that any
more" m/c parts.
Like you experienced, getting the $#@& spring hooked was the most difficult
part. Considering we removed cases, rotors, starter gears and all those
little washers & stuff, it's not a bad project at all. I did that and the
Thermo-Bob mod the same day and had a great time.
