trail tech vapor and stock speedo/cluster

Post by navyboy652002 » Mon Oct 05, 2009 9:15 pm

Hey dropped Trail Tech an e-mail about how their vapor/computer holds up to the weather and this is what Justin Yancy in sales and support wrote me back: "The computer is water resistant. They do have a water seal that keeps water out. It can be damaged though. Gas, harsh chemicals or cleaners can damage the seal and allow water in. Also do not pressure wash the computer as it can force water past the water seal. Justin Yancy" Just thought I would share with those who asked or are thinking about getting a vapor??? Seth

I added the water temp and that seems to work great! Just make sure you read the directions as to get it to look for the water temp after you install it you need to hold the left and mode buttons down for a few seconds. Still need to add the indicator dash lights, but I have them now and looks pretty streight > forward! > Have not had the chance to look into the computer's weather resitance but the connections are weather/water proof! > > Hopefully this link works to get you to the pics http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DSN_KLR650/photos/album/1627776607/pic/list > If not they are in the groups photo's section , either look for them by my name navyboy65 or trail tech vapor! > > Oh did the 16t front sproket upgrade, only rode a few miles but seem to like it! > > --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, "navyboy652002" wrote: > > > > No pictures yet, I'll try and remember to take some next weekend/chance I get. Good question as to what the weather will do to it? I wish I knew? Just looking at it, I think it may have some water resitant qualities, but I would e-mail them up and see if they have an answer for you! > > --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, Kevin Bennett wrote: > > > > > > Thanks for alerting me to the existence of that speedo.
