Mike, If you use WD-40 as a chain lube you could try spraying a little into the front brake lite switch at the lever. Sometimes they get stuck. Work it a little bit and maybe it will free up. I've seen a front brake lever get bent just a tad and end up touching the barkbuster causing the switch to stay on too. Sometimes the rear switch gets stuck and just removing the spring won't free it. You may have to wiggle/pull on the plunger a bit to get it to start working again. Shouldn't be too tough to get it working properly.
