battery prolems
I installed the standard plug (battery tender) on my battery. When I bought
my KLR the battery was barely alive.
I replaced it with an Odyssey battery and while I don't need to charge my
battery, I *can* do it without removing the seat.
The Odyssey battery held well over the winter with several months of not
starting the bike.
If a battery drains, I'd pull the negative cable and put a volt meter in
between and see if something draws power. If it doesn't, then I'd load-test
the battery to check for bad cells.

When I purchased my A19(2005?) I noticed the PO had installed an auxiliary
battery plug for attaching a trickle charger. Is this a a problem with the
KLRs? I've yet to find a dead battery when I go to my bike, but the most is
10 days sitting. And the PO installed a new battery right before the sale.
I've got a million ?'s about this scoot, but I love it!
