front sprocket seal

Hello question concerning decals, My tank needs respraying and i cant purchase the decals from kawasaki, any ideas? could I replicate them with something i am a dab hand on photoshop (an image editing software) Thanks

If you go and research an auto paint store that sell to real professional painters, sometimes the folks there can direct you to someone who has a vinyl cutter type sign making machine .... er that will make a vinyl mask so to speak of your Artwork. Seems like it is best in an illustrator (vector I think) program but I am sure the skilled operator could convert a Photoshop file to vector ... but would cost you more. Or .... do it the old way with an exacto knife and auto body type masking tape. The first way is much easier ........the first way is much easier ........ speaking from experience. I have been looking at custom bike painters paint jobs for years going .... no way he could do that good of job with an exacto knife and tape. Just an opinion. If I were going to all this trouble to repaint .... and if you use this method ..... think of something way cool to put on it .... instead of Kawasaki graphics. Just another opinion. We could start a group. Custom KLR's and ape hangers with maybe something more creative than flames and skulls. But those custom painters .... they know their stuff and it ain't easy. Criswell

Thank you all for the advice. Consensus appears to be: 1- check for a small o-ring between the seal & shaft and if not present: 2- pull out the seal using either a small hook or drive a small screw into the seal to pull it out. Parts diagram does not show the o-ring but you never know. I will wait as long as I can before doing the operation, this will of course depend on whether the oil leak gets worse. Brian
