klr650: >blinkers< ;) *** blow hole **

Correct, I moved the handlebar forward and I had to re-drill a hole for the nipple you seem to be so fond of ,could we call it a BLOW HOLE ?? ;)

That hole requires a nipple to be effective. (I love being able say things like that). da Vermonster --- On Mon, 3/23/09, Luc Legrain wrote: From: Luc Legrain Subject: Re: [DSN_KLR650] Re: klr650: >Blinkers< ;) To: "Tumu Rock" , DSN_KLR650@yahoogro ups.com Date: Monday, March 23, 2009, 8:21 AM Thanks for the feed back. I took the switch apart and I found that I had lead pellets; I poured ,after cutting a few shot gun shells, a while back, in the handle bar for " vibrations control "; lodged in the turn signal switch making contact between the wires, cleaned them out , now everything is back to normal. Weird how they got lodged in there . --- On Sun, 3/22/09, Tumu Rock wrote: From: Tumu Rock Subject: [DSN_KLR650] Re: klr650: >Blinkers< ;) To: DSN_KLR650@yahoogro ups.com Date: Sunday, March 22, 2009, 11:28 AM --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogro ups.com, Luc Legrain wrote: > > > there was a couple of threads a while ago about turn signals ,which i should have read, but can't read everything.. . anyways.. lately out of the blue my blinkers, in particular the right one, started going on with out me touching the rocker switch, had to rock it a couple of times for it to stop then it would start again ,right now the "off " position is the "on" position for the left side, the "cagers" are freaked out enough as it is, I want to fix this before I get "pushed out" off the asphalt. > New switch ? clean it out ? What do y'all think ? Thanks > I would check all the connections and wires for a short. Be sure to check the switch to harness connection behind the fairing as well as the individual connections for each blinker. Apply dielectric grease to all the connections and if that doesn't work, disassemble the switch and clean thoroughly. Is it BOTH right blinkers coming on randomly or just one? da Vermonster [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

hoseless tube

Post by Rick McCauley » Mon Mar 23, 2009 10:53 am

Forgive me if this comes thru twice. I sent it once but doesn't appear that it went. I have noticed a metal tube coming out of the back of the gas tank, under the front part of seat. It is obviously supposed to have a hose on it. Where is that hose supposed to go to? I bought the bike new, and it has never been there, and I don't see a hose anywhere that isn't already attached to something. Rick A17 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

<><><><><><> <><><><><><> Rick, The hose connected to that tube just goes to the ground. There is probably a wire guide on the right front side of the swing arm to collect a couple of different hoses.
