motorcycle magic act - not good thing
Back in Upper Michigan to me it seems that when the deer hear my stock pipe ( pull clutch and rev motor a few times ) they turn and run away as fast as they can from me.
Try it.. maybe the whistle like tone of the pipe ?

I wish states that love deer (for hunters sake) would put up deer
fences or have the ranchers in my state (TX) that feed the dammed
animals (hunting leases are very lucrative here) have to put up deer
fences at least on major traveled roads. Maybe if the land owners get
sued by a downed biker or the families of the diseased downed biker
they might think higher fences is good. Deer seem to be everywhere
these days. Pretty to look at but terrifying for a bike rider and not
too good coming into the windshield of a small car.

Trust me ain't no fun hitting with full size pickup truck either....
Had one jump right in front of me while back, took out the front end of my truck and I had seen one cross right before it and was scrubbing off speed fast enough to toss groceries from the back seat to the floor mind you I was not going very fast to begin with maybe 40~45 mph.
Damn thing jumped from the side of the road in front of larger straight truck ( seen it in flight ) and landed right in front of me, I had no place to go, left would have resulted in a head on into oncoming traffic, right would have been worse since it was going from left to right (my perspective) I could not have been going very fast just felt a thump and it got all dark on the right side with the headlight assy being destroyed along with the bumper/grill/radiator/radiator support/ac condensor/fan shroud, me and the cop looked all over for the damn thing, he was concerned it was wounded and I just wanted to kick it in the head till I was sure it was dead....
Found it the next day, it must have drug itself through tall grass somehow, cause it had some serious bone breakage.
I am from a hunting state and with they would make a deer tag good for both doe and buck to thin the damn things out. Venison is venison right.
Funny about 7 months later my wife hit a black bear with the same truck and caused less damage and we were on the highway that time, I was following on my bike and just seen a poof of fur and something go off the side of the truck. ( Not what you would have expected for sure)

balancer shaft replacement
I had a local machinist cut the water pump shaft off, drill and tap that cutoff shaft, mate a new water impeller shaft, then thread it for me. All done with the motor still in the frame and just the right hand side cover off. 20000 miles and still stronger than new.
