drilling slide

Post by fmhilton » Mon Feb 16, 2009 4:11 pm

Just to be sure before I start! Is the small hole beside the hole where the needle passes through the one that can be drilled out to 7/64" I know that this is suppose to allow the slide to move quicker, but how does this modification effect mileage? 4c. Re: Tail Lights for a 2003 KLR650? Posted by: "priestkemper@..." priestkemper@... priestkemper Date: Sat Feb 14, 2009 11:05 am ((PST)) Does anyone have a set of new or used KLR650 stock taillights for sale that will fit a 2003 ? Priest, I do . . . Recently got a beautiful 2003 KLR. The guy who originally bought the bike had a number of ideas how he wanted it set-up . . . NONE 'off-road'. He IMMEDIATELY took off several 'stock' items and had them replaced with 'Aftermarket' items . . . muffler, brake lines, AGM battery. . . TAILLIGHTS, etc. {When you say 'set', you mean the pair of round, Yellow/Orange ones, right? Not the BIG RED one, correct?} Anyway, the point is that they are, in actuality . . . Brand New !! {I've got the 'written' history of the bike, and all the receipts}.When I was 'trolling' on e-bay for some odds & ends, I saw a beat-up set going for $41 plus shipping. Got me thinking about putting this stuff up . . . like the nautical items I sell. However, I'm more then willing to give you first crack. Make me an offer . . . I'm not greedy . . . and I figure the PRISTINE factory exhaust should net at least $75 + . Regards, Ron Magen Backyard Boatshop
