senate bill s 22

Post by Silver Duck » Thu Jan 15, 2009 11:07 am

This is for consideration in front of the US Senate... Please be proactive and write your Senator to vote NO to this bill. Cut and paste to your heart's content... I emailed both Alabama Senators with the following.... "Senator, after carefully reading bill S-22 about to be considered for your vote, I strongly oppose the bill due to its very limited scope. I am not sure how turning existing Forest Service roads into pedestrian only traffic has a positive impact on the environment. It appears that this bill will actually constrict the usage of the national forest to a very finite and tiny portion of your constituents. If we are still leasing timberland to logging companies, then why are we denying access to the National Forests and U.S. government lands to the general population. Please vote "NO" to this myopic and terribly constructed bill." It takes maybe 5 minutes to contact your US Senator. (google your state name and US Senator) go to "contact me".... paste the preceding if you want to protect your access to the National forests. _,___ [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Hey guys, for whatever reason I never got Ducky's original post. What are we all writing letters about? Could someone send me his original post or otherwise bring me up to speed? Thanks, Ross Lindberg Fertile, MN --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, Chris Long wrote:
