air cleaner , jet kit, rt5 pipe

I ordered a R/T 5 pipe from KLR.COM. The set up comes with a jet kit and a new air filter from studibaker. K&N type. I'm getting mixed opinions about jetting and or K&N filters. I like the way my klr runs. not really looking for more power. Just hate the way the stock pipe looks and sounds. So I decided to upgrade. 1st. question is. Do I have to re-jet the carb to install the pipe?. Can I use the foam type filter I currently use? I was going to do the L box mod. too. I figued I would install the pipe. do the L mod and the CARBURETOR AIR MIXTURE ADJUSTMENT. From mark net. and just leave it at that. My concern is that the pipe will require a jet kit mod that I don't really want to do. Is this so? Looking for some expert KLR advice here. Thanks, Rod PS this is going on a 07' KLR california model.
