1994 price
I don't see how it can be justified paying $1800 for a 15 year old bike,
with how many miles on it??? I bought a new 2006 KLR in 2005 for $5199 OTD.
Unless the bike was owned by Jay Leno, and had less than 3000 miles on it, all
street driven, and stored in a garage, could a 15 year old KLR be worth that
kind of money. Almost guaranteed, you will have maint work such as oil,
tires, chain, sprockets, etc. that will jack up the acquisition cost. Not to
mention the huge risk of buying an old bike.

Wayne,
That price sounds good to me so long as the bike is in good shape.
A year ago my son bought a KLR of that same year. He paid 1800 for it, but
it had many extras. This summer we took it on the CDR and no problems at all.
Good luck.

Got a line on a '94 KLR650 w/35.4k miles and as far as I know the only
upgrade is a gel seat--have not had a chance to look/ride it yet. Assuming that
there are no glaring problems with it and that nothing else has been done to
it--what would a fair price be--the guy is asking $1200? With the high(?)
mileage is there anything special that I would need to look at---of course I'll
ask if the Doohickey or anything else has been done. Thanks,Got a line on a '94
