Recently I aquired a pair of Trail Tech 30watt HID spotlights.If you have never seen these before (HID) they will blow you away.The amount of light from 30watts is almost unbelievable.These are without a doubt going to be mounted on the bike but my question is HOW?? The front fairing offers few options.Maybe the forks?Somewhere up front of course.The lights weigh about 12oz./each,a little more than I expected.Quality housings that are built for rugged use. I mounted mine by removing the OEM turn signals and using those ports. I didn't need the stock turns b/c I have Acerbis handguards with integrated turn signals. However, I don't think they're available anymore. It's not going to be fast and easy. I'd recommend a custom bracket vs. drilling the plastic cowling and quick-mounting them. Interestingly, the threads look like the same as the OEM turn signal mounts. These Trail Tech lights are really nice. Next, add a h/o stator, 90w/90w headlight bulb, and a 30-watt HID helmet light and you're in the game.

The upper points where the fairing mounts to the headlight tree are where I mounted my lights. I think that area is rigid and sturdy enough to handle the weight of your lights. However, you might want to widen the hole for an M8 bolt if you choose to mount 'em there. Mark
