pelican case question
I found this case and it looks like a nice small case that I could
mount semi-permanently on my A4

It is the small one, but has anybody used it?
Comments good or bad?
Thanks
Jim

I would suggest something a little larger like the 1520. I can put my lap top computer in its carry case in the 1520. Excellent for commuting and touring. http://www.all-pelican-cases-4-less.com/detail_pelican_1520.html Looks like this: http://langly.smugmug.com/photos/18144102-M.jpg Jim Fortner Plano, TX [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]> > I found this case and it looks like a nice small case that I could > mount semi-permanently on my A4 > > http://www.all-pelican-cases-4-less.com/detail_pelican_1300.html > > It is the small one, but has anybody used it? > > Comments good or bad? >

pelican case question
All the Pelican cases are near bullet proof. You won't be disappointed.
I use them to carry my target pistols. I got 5 big handguns in a Pelican
1600, with lots of foam protection. The pick and pluck foam is cool.
But look at the inside size carefully. It is a pretty small case. Looks
like it's for a single camera
Pelican makes about 30 different sizes.

pelican case question
I bought a set of side racks from Happy Trails for my KLR and want to mount
Pelican cases to them.
I think the normal cases used for this purpose is the 1500. I found them
for $75 apiece on the internet.
Does this sound like the way to go?
Thanks

The 1500, 1520 or 1550 all work. I prefer the extra space that the 1520 provides, without being too obtrusive. The 1500 is a tad small IMO, and the 1550 is pushing the upper limit, but I have used 1550s on a couple trips.
