Need to replace one for a set of SW Motech Crash Bars. Only info I have is M8X40 for right side, M8x35 left side. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

foot peg mounting bolts question
The footpet bolts that came with the SW Motech crash bars for my 2005 KLR were M8-1.25x30 for use on both sides of the bike WITHOUT the centerstand, M8-1.25x40 for use on both sides WITH centerstand. The instuctions are linked on the Twisted Throttle website:

There's a link to the 2008 model instructions at:
http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/3809/653/
They call for 30mm without centerstand, and 35 and 40 mm as you describe for with centerstand.
The Ron Ayers microfiche calls out the same part number for the footpeg mounting bolt for both the 2005 and 2008 models. This means that the same thread pitch is used -- 1.25mm.
