We also had a pair of these growing up. I think the old red one was late 60's model (gone)and the yellow one is early 70's, still in working order at my fathers and my sisters kids are old enough to ride it now. I cannot believe the relatively maintenance free thrashing that these 2 bikes took and I am in full agreement with the other stories you hear before about how fun they were to ride as a kid. I notice that on the "Trailtail" there is a shock absorber ahead of the wheel. If you are carrying shockproof stuff like tools and clothes, does the shock absorber actually help? DC Lars Lemberg wrote:

The shock should help keep the wheel on the ground, reducing disturbance to the back end of the motorcycle from when the trailer returns to earth from a high hop. __Arden
