<><><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><><><> Pat, My suggestion is to thread the mirror in 1 1/2 times the diameter of the stem/threads if possible. So if you have a 10mm stem try to thread it in 15mm. Since this isn't a critical fastener (in that it isn't clamping anything) you can probably get by with a bit less if needed.
