It s amazing that one (me) could forget the realities of living in a giant city. We were sitting in my buddies place in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. He said he wanted me present when he picked out some camping gear. I put forth the idea of driving over to Campmor in Paramus. I was a Colorado guy by then but should have known better. I used to live in the very neighborhood we started from that morning. We had to cross the bridges and of course transverse Manhattan. The Jersey part was better but the garden state is still no Wyoming. It was well into the afternoon when we got back. We did have a fine lunch at the White Castle near the Campmor store.
