handguards

Same here. Got rid of the handguards and windscreen. I like the open feel of the air. I also think it looks better. However if you go back in the woods you may want to put some handguards back on to save your fingers and levers the trauma. This little gallery has photos of mine with and without the handguards: http://doofus.smugmug.com/gallery/2342023_u9ngL . ----- Original Message ---- From: Jacobus De Bruyn To: bseifert71@...; dsn_klr650@yahoogroups.com Sent: Friday, June 6, 2008 2:47:47 AM Subject: [DSN_KLR650] Re: Handguards Handguards? The stock handguards are trash and up to now I see no need for them. Perhaps driving in the woods, or in very cold weather? I removed the windshield too, wind is good in the tropics. Boy, it s hot and stuffy. I pumped up my rear tire to a 30+, hard to see on the little mountainbike handpump, and I found that, yes, handling in the dirt is worse, skittish. But then in a 25 minutes ride, I go from dirt to pavement. They should be better at a 25 psi I guess, for both types of surface. HD tubes, kicking the tires gives you no clue, they feel ouch hard all the time. No earplugs, nor buttplugs. Jacostarica. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
