klr help needed! 16 tooth front sprocket rocks!

Post by nakedwaterskier » Sat May 31, 2008 8:33 am

Re: KLR Help Needed! I love my 16 tooth front sprocket. If you do something like the ESR trips which I did 2x, it really helps. I had to use the clutch more on dirt riding but the few hundred lower rpm seemed to make the high speed ride up 395 much more tolerable. The KLR has plenty of torque. Jeffrey Can't say I agree; I like the 16 tooth sprocket

The answer *should* be yes since the site says that these run cooler then a full tube setup. If these really work over the fully dirt/freeway life of a KLR then this really does seem like a worthwhile upgrade (won't call it a farkle). It would give all the benefit of *both* tube and tubeless setup. You get the quick fix ability of using plugs to fix a flat. You can run sea lent goo to auto-patch small punctures. You can run lower pressure more safely for dirt situations. Our heavy pig bikes should stick to stiff sidewalls, I would guess. Will be interested in what they say in reply to your query.
