california marriage decision : crap-looks like i picked the wron

Post by kusstj » Fri May 23, 2008 8:07 am

Hey, I have found lately when the engine is real hot my fully synthetic Amsoil 10-40 does down shift as smoothly as I think it should. When cold it has a "buttery" feel to it which I like. I am wondering if the heavier viscosity might work better, but in this day I believe "flow" to be as vital as viscosity. California Marriage - Jeeze guys (and gals): why don't we talk about abortion too while were at it. ??? Then we can all express the "right" answer to it. The human "need to be right" is about as dangerous as the innate drive to attribute observations to a cause (without truly understanding driving forces). I try to shy away from both. Seriously, before someone attacks me - I really do like Synthetic oil, but I respect the fact that some people have other opinions and should have the right to run their motors with any oil they choose - as long as they agree to change it regularly. todd Chaska MN A16 700 EFi Re: California Marriage Decision--What now?

Peter, I'm net to KLR list but it does seem to have clear pictures of a real bike not just drawing... I've order a factory service manual for my 08, but this would be a help also. Mike H.

It look pretty thorough and the pictures look to be a high quality. The price also seems reasonable, but I'd like to hear real opinions from folks that have a subscription. The website is here: http://tinyurl.com/3fvnwg Thanks, Peter, A19 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Riding climate must be considered when choosing oil. Southern climes call for heavier oils to combat heat breakdown, up in the frozen north I would use something lighter unless my riding was stop-and-go. albatross well oiled
