grips question
Does anyone have a recommendation for Larger diameter grips? The hands
are not as limber as they use to be and it would be easier to hold
especially the throttle if they were larger and maybe softer.

grips question
I wear XXXL gloves and was getting hand fatigue from squeezing the
handle bars. I picked up a pair of grip puppies ( www.casporttouring.com
) two weeks ago. They fit over your regular grips and even help reduce
vibration. I really like them a lot. $8.20 delivered, get the smaller
size, the large size is for Harleys or larger than stock diameter
handlebars.

This is what I have on all my bikes, http://tinyurl.com/47mreu .Did not
get them from this person. Been using them for many moons.
They are not soft, just large diameter.

If you are inclined to add heated grips, they tend to be a larger diameter
but pretty firm, ask Fred H about them. The heat is soothing on the hands as
well. Also a Cramp Buster type item allows you to hold the throttle open w/o
griping it so hard, you will likely need to adjust it out if the way when
you need to do low speed throttle modulation (off road riding, not parking
lots) but its easy to reposition. I also have one of the throttle locks
installed for long stretches of road so I can exercise the right arm/hand
and stretch side to side while underway.

grips question
Mike,
I bought some barrel-shaped bicycle grips ($5) at a bike shop, look like foam, and they're
great. Used lots of WD40 to install, and used work gloves to push the throttle one on.
Cheers,
Ed

klr in forward air's smallest container ?
Has anybody shipped a KLR in Forward Air's smallest container?
They give the internal size as 61x44x44 inches. That gives about 75 in. on
the diagonal. It looks like if you take the front wheel off, the KLR would
fit on the diagonal. Not sure if the handlebars might have to be loosened or
removed.
thanks,
Chris
