border crossing

_Unofficially_, Bear spray is 10% strength pepper spray, Dog repellant is 5% and it is considered a weapon. DC rockiedog2 wrote:

switch to reserve, then nothing

Post by mikeypep » Wed May 07, 2008 8:45 am

The other day I was riding to empty. The usual situation is to feel a bump, then another then it quits. A quick switch to reserve and off I go. This time I had feeling an occasional "bump" but not quite a stumble. No biggie. When I finally ran out it sputtered, I switched, and it died! It wouldn't start for a minute or so, then started right up and got me home on reserve. I'm going to run some Seafoam through it but could the petcock be gettint "tired", or perhaps some dirt? I don't have a filter but haven't had any problems other than this. It starts good and runs strong otherwise.
