Instead of buying the lowering kit I bought the dished Corbin seat. This enabled me to have both feet flat on the ground. I ran into a fellow traveling through town on a KLR that talked me into a 1 inch lowering kit just so it would handle curves better. He did not say anything about lowering the front too, so I didn't. I take curves fast enough that the foot pegs sometimes touch, which is something I would not do before the lowing link was put on. Also, since the front is now higher than the back I do not slide forward as much--causing the problem that is so often noted when discussing the dished Corbin seat.
