fuel filter

I bought a couple of the right-angle fuel filters from Fred at Arrowhead Motorsports a couple of months or so ago and I think it's been long enough now to comment on my experience with them. Prior to installing an inline filter, I was having a very consistent problem when I wouldn't ride my KLR for even just a couple of weeks. The carb would act like it was gummed up and I would have to use Berryman's B-12 (works better for me than Sea Foam) in the gas in order to clean the carb out. Since installing the filter, I haven't had any further problems with the carb. My Sportster, interestingly, has exactly the same carb as the KLR but I never had any of the same problems with it. I think the KLR's tank has some particles that need better filtration. I installed the second filter I bought on the Sportster anyway as insurance. ed A17
